Friday September 22nd - 2:00-5:00 pm at: Priest Lake Elementary School As you probably know, this entire season, Priest Lake and the Thorofare have been under an intense analysis to determine a wide range of options regarding question about lake water levels, the deteriorating thorofare breakwater and the likely loss of access for all to the Upper Priest Lake.

This public meeting will be for the purpose of presenting an array of options that were determined by the hydrology engineering firm contracted last Spring.

For all who have an interest in the "Save The Thorofare Project", as well as the water level questions, should try to make this gathering. There probably has never been a more important Priest Lake Community challenge than the management of our lake waters. If you know of others who might not "get the word" about this public meeting please forward this to them.

Background Note: Last year the State of Idaho allocated $300,000 for the study by the hydrology firm. The two primary reasons were: 1. The previous year's drought drastically reduced the downstream water below the Outlet Dam, bringing up the question of how that might be prevented in the future. 2. The crumbling and rotting of the thorofare breakwater, which allows silting of the approach channel that will soon prevent powered access to the Upper Priest Lake. Thank you,

Priest Lake Breakwater Committee
